Basic information
Description: The Soviet politician Stalin (1879-1953) museum includes memorial house, where he was born, museum building with a tower, and Stalin's personal carriage, he used to visit Tehran, Yalta, and Potsdam. The museum houses Stalin's personal belongings, Kremlin study, manuscripts, presents from various countries, death mask of Stalin, collection of paintings.

Disaster related information
Location:
City has been attacked by bombs
Staff: was evacuated to Tbilisi, could return by August 24
Building: the museum is slightly damagedby bombing (some windows broken) and not touched afterwards
Collection: Important part of collection  is transfered to Tbilisi; the part remaining in Gori is safe as well
