Ksani Gorge Historical-Architectural Museum-Reserve
(near Akhalgori)



Basic information
Description: The museum is situated in XVI-XIX c.c. Ksnis Eristavi's (dukes of Ksani) palace. In the permanent exhibition are displayed objects excavated in Ksani gorge – early antiquity period (from Kabeni, Kvemo Alevi burial), late Bronze Age – Early Iron Age dagger, bronze standard (IV c. B.C.), bronze adornment with stag image, rings, earrings, clay, cornelian necklaces, daggers, axes, spearheads, numismatic materials; also there are presented XVIII-XIX c.c. glazed ceramics, ethnographic collection.

Meanwhile European observers are in Akhalgori, too.
