The large museum-reserve area includes Tskhinvali region: Didi and Patara
Liakhvi (Big and Little Liakhvi) basin, from village Sviri to village
Tamarasheni and more than 300 monuments of history and material culture: - Kashueti, - Mindiaant Koshki (tower in v.Kemerti), - Gora Samosakhlo, - Khetagaant Koshki (v.Sveri), - Sabatsminda, Dzelitskhoveli (v.Kheiti), - Kekhvi fortress (v.Kekhvi), - churches of St.Kvirike, Abotsminda, St.Nikolas, (v.Zemo Achabeti), Parseti St.George church (v.Dzartsemi), - Machabeli family palace, - Gora Samosakhlo (v.Kurta), - Old palace of Machabeli family, - Geris Nishi (v.Tamarasheni), etc. At present, the museum-reserve staff is working on inventory of the cultural heritage monuments of the region. >> see some pictures from the inventory |
